How we started raising Aussies
My very first Australian Shepherd was a rescue, and she gave me a small glimpse of what Aussies are like.Dixie had some interesting issues since she was not socialized correctly.
Eventually, our second Australian Shepherd Zip came along: a Blue-Eyed, Blue Merle girl, she became ours when someone else backed out on a puppy; she is where my passion for Aussies really began! We have has been showing her in altered conformation, obedience and some rally. Zip truly has shown me the intelligence and loyalty that an Aussie offers. After Zip, we purchased our next Australian Shepherd: Solo, our black Tri-boy. He is truly my heart dog and I absolutely can't imagine this life without him! He is strong, beautiful, loyal and at my feet at every second. I have shown him some in conformation and obedience, and look forward to begin trialing him in agility. |
Mazie is our Blue Merle girl, that has a heart of gold, loves everyone and has been shown at ASCA nationals, ASCA shows. She is kind and gentle, loves to look pretty, and loves the confirmation ring!!
Mazie had her first litter on July 12, 2018, and I fell in love with this breed even more. I mean it when I say it: training and raising puppies brings so much joy to our lives! I plan to continue doing what each of my dogs simply loves to do and what makes them happy.
Zip and I currently are members of Canines for Christ- a petting ministry-which we go onto the community such as police dispatch to bring the love of Christ and Aussies to others.
Solo and I have begun to train for agility, Mazie loves to be in the conformation ring, and Paisley has began to love agility, and rally.
Envy seems to be following in her Aunt Zip's footsteps and will probably love all of it. She knows more tricks than I can believe, and is happy and energetic and oh so smart.
So this is how our story started, a rescue turned into a mission always full of love, and passion! It is our pleasure to share the gift of Aussies to all who decide to join our TrueHope Family!
