Nutrition: what should I feed my puppy? 

We actively researched types of dog food and always keep our eyes open to new or improved nutritious foods that are available. We had been feeding Costco Food for several years, but recently we were introduced to Life’s Abundance.. We were so impressed by the quality and high standards and the amazing testimonials from customers and our own pets  that we decided to switch all of our dogs and puppies to the Life’s Abundance!

​Feeding: tips + tricks to feeding puppies

​Over the months ahead, your puppy’s feeding needs will change and will need to be adjusted. The weight of your puppy can have a severe negative impact on it’s overall health long term. If your puppy is obese, our health contract will become void. After spaying or neutering at one year, their feed needs will almost be reduced in half. It is very important to adjust the amount you are feeding after a spay and neuter and increase grooming due to the fact that they will often become obese, even if you are exercising a lot, and their coat just keeps growing.

​Training: we have puppy training classes! ​

​Our goal of our puppy class is to help each new puppy buyer to continue to utilize skills and puppy culture training which we have implemented here at TrueHope Aussies.   We aim to help you train lifelong skills to help you train your puppy to be obedient , and well socialized.  We focus on grooming, loose leash training, attention, basic skills such as sit, down stay and recall and help teach proper socialization skills critical to the life long, healthy behavior of your puppy.
